There once was a whale on the shore,
Whose stench folks could not simply ignore.
The government met,
With a plan they’d regret-
“Let’s blast it!” they proudly implored.
With dynamite set in the sand,
They claimed they had matters in hand.
But their oversight failed,
As the whale bits prevailed,
And blubber rained down on the land.
The crowd eagerly watched from afar,
Trusting wisdom from leaders ... "Har-dee-har-har!"
But when whale chunks flew,
And demolished a near car or two,
They cursed bureaucrats here and far.
Though no person was hurt in the blast,
The lesson from history is vast:
When the government’s involved,
And problems aren’t solved-
You'll be buried in blubber up the ass!
The "Far Side" highlights life's absurdities and encourages questioning societal norms, offering profound insights into the human condition through its surreal lens. You'll find a “Daily Dose & Collections” of "Far Side" HERE. As such, we'll be examining all elected and appointed officials with a similar "lense" taking no prisoners. Most pleasing to our ears is narrative that turns the corner 180 degrees from the current state of affairs. However, to "politic" has historically been to "Over Promise and Under Perform." It is our charter to give no ground to nonsense. In this our "Far Side," we have a platform for letting it all hang out ... some of which will be in a "quirky ... offbeat" way. wlw
