The sole purpose of the Home and Hospice committee is to carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous to those confined to hospitals, medical facilities or homebound. The Committee is organized under the Ninth Tradition of Alcoholics Anonymous, which states: "A.A., as such, ought never be organized; but we may create service boards or committees directly responsible to those they serve."Â
*In the spirit of rotation- a new Home & Hospice Chair shall be elected every two years in odd numbered years, in the month of February.
Chair and Co-Chair responsibilities:
Arrange meetings for members who request one.
Use the phone numbers list to reach out to active AA members to ask if they are able to bring a meeting to those who need one.
Reach out to members known to be in medical facilities or homebound to ask if they would like services.
Ensure members organized to provide a meeting show up.
