Video Submissions
This course will require you to complete work as a video response. Speaking your ideas out loud is an important part of learning, it helps you process information in a different way, practice using scientific vocabulary, and build communication skills that are valuable beyond this class.
Please review these Video Submission Policies before beginning your video. By proceeding you are acknowledging you have read and agree to follow these policies. If you have concerns please contact your teacher.
Video Specifics:
PLEASE STATE YOUR NAME AT THE BEGINNING OF THE VIDEO.
Please show your face in the video and make sure your audio is working.
We respect your family’s privacy and kindly ask that students complete video-recorded assignments in a quiet and appropriate setting, free from background conversations or interactions that may unintentionally be recorded.
When completing this assignment, please adhere to the Washington County School District Dress Code Policy and use appropriate language and actions. Submissions that do not meet these expectations will not be accepted.
Use clear, scientific vocabulary and speak as if you're teaching your peers.
Review your video to make sure it looks good!
Here are some different ways you can submit a video response.
Click the purple “start recording” button
Click “record yourself”
Click “record a talking head”
Allow Canva to use access your webcam and microphone
Choose “camera and screen”
Choose “entire screen”
Click “entire screen” and “share”
Click “record” then you can choose to record a different tab.
Record – Show your face, state your full name and course name, and in 2 minutes or less, summarize the importance of this activity
Click “done”
Click “save and exit”
Click “share”
Change the access level to “anyone with the link can share”
Copy the link and paste it in Edgenuity
Log into your google account (preferably your UOS google account if you have one)
Click the + button to start a new video
Click “record”
Choose to record just yourself (camera) or yourself and your screen (camera & screen)
Record- Show your face, state your full name and course name
When you are finished recording, you can preview your video
Click Insert
Click Share (title your video, if you haven’t)
Change the share settings to “anyone with the link can edit”
Copy the link and paste it in Edgenuity.
Make a video on your phone, tablet or computer
Upload the video to Google drive
Click “share”
Change “general access” to “anyone with the link”
Copy the link and paste it into Edgenuity
Open YouTube.com → sign in with Google.
Click Create → Upload Video.
Allow YouTube to use access your webcam and microphone
Or upload from computer/phone.
Record – Show your face, state your full name and course name, and in 2 minutes or less, summarize the importance of this activity.
Give your video a clear title and description.
Choose Unlisted so only people with the link can watch.
Watch to make sure everything is clear.
Copy the video link and paste it in the assignment.
Zoom Meeting
Email your teacher to set up a zoom meeting to meet one on one.
