I was raised in Wyoming and received my Bachelor’s Degree from Sterling College in Kansas where I was on scholarship for Cross Country, Track and Basketball. I have earned the honor of being in my College's Hall of Fame for Running! I am humbled by this opportunity! After college, I served an LDS mission and then moved to Hurricane, Utah to start my teaching career. I earned my Master’s Degree from Southern Utah University. I taught at Hurricane High School for 24 years before transferring to Utah Online where I have been for 5 years. I have taught all levels of Math from Algebra and Geometry to Calculus and College Math. I have also coached Cross Country, Basketball and Track during my teaching career at Hurricane.

My husband, Darin, is also in education as the district's Human Resource Director. Our oldest son Matthew is a 7th grade math teacher, he and his wife, Jade, live in St. George where they take care of my two grandbabies, Knox and Revan. We have a set of triplets that graduated with the quarantined Class of 2020. Bryce is a Wildland fire fighter and loves helping others. Britton is married to Emma and is the head custodian for Three Falls Elementary school. Brooke is married to Jared and she is majoring in Pre-Dental at Utah Tech University. I enjoy spending time with my family traveling, camping, fishing, hiking, running, or just hanging out with them.  I love teaching and am excited to be working with students for Utah Online.
