Note: This course is found in the UOS Version of Canvas, not Utah Tech's like most other CE courses.
The CE BOS Course is the same coursework as the regular BOS class except for two main differences: See the Disclosure for more info.
1) You are REQUIRED to take and do your best on the 3 Certification Exams (Word, Excel, or PowerPoint)
2) You are required to complete a few extra labs and 6 projects inside Microsoft Office or Google that will help you with the certification exams.
Utah Tech is transitioning Concurrent Enrollment students to a new registration portal called MyCE.
This change only affects the registration step (Part 2). Students will still need to apply first, then register, and finally pay tuition—just like before.
To the right are the updated instructions for registering through MyCE. Since it’s the first year using this new system, I’m also including the link to the old registration method (MyUT), in case you need it.
Please try using MyCE first, and let me know if you run into any issues.

You must apply if you do not have a D#
If you have already taken CE course from Utah Tech, and have a D#, you do not need to apply again. You just need to fill out the parent permission and form each year.
Step 3 - Pay Tuition

How to Register UTU.pdfWhen you launch the course from Your Dashboard in Genius, it should create your account in Canvas.
When you click on links from inside Canvas to TestOut and either watch a video or complete an assignment/quiz/test, it will sync your scores within a few minutes.
Your grade will sync back to your Dashboard within 4-5 hours. No need to submit anything unless you are submitting the Google version of the projects for CE Students.

CERTIFICATION TESTING INFO
(Only 1 test per time)-Must Take All 3 exams
You will need:
Computer/Laptop or Chromebook with these technical requirements (scroll down a bit, click on Technical Requirements) Chromebook must have Google Play Store.
Once inside the platform for the exam, you will have to agree to the Non-Disclosure Agreement
Please read all info sent in response to your testing signup email to determine if the following is required.
Fill out, sign, and send a scanned copy, a picture, or a PDF back to Mrs. Sjogren before testing
You May Need:
Webcam/Microphone (For proctor to verify who you are compared to your Photo ID and to check your exam environment-see image below)
Photo ID with name and photo (school ID is fine)
If you need to change or remove your scheulded testing slot, please edit the google form AND notify Mrs. Sjogren by email that you changed it or need to be removed.
