Progress & Attendance
Attendance
180 days of attendance each school year. (It helps to plan out your school schedule for the year with a calendar.)
You don't have to record attendance anywhere. But make sure you are logging in regularly to mark your progress! I recommend a minimum of once a week for Bright Thinker, even if you are working online.

Progress
Progress should be continual and consistent.
Continual means it is always increasing. Consistent means learning is happening every day.
10% progress is expected each month.
You should have a minimum of 90% progress by May 18th to be considered complete this school year.
Some programs are based on usage and not progress. (For example. Rosetta Stone is an exploratory course.) In these courses, I look for consistent use as the gauge for progress.
If you are struggling to make progress, Mrs. Baggaley will make a plan with you to get on track.
Note on Performance: Many people get confused between the performance percentage and the progress percentage. Performance is how well you did (think A, B, or C grades in more traditional settings). Progress is how much you are done. (For example, I am halfway done with my course.)
