Mrs. Lori McConnell has been an educator since 1998, teaching in Las Vegas, Nevada for 10 years, and has taught grades from preschool all the way to seniors in high school. She also was a dance instructor for 10 years.  She has found enjoyment in each of the areas she has taught, but really found her niche in teaching high school biology in 2020.  She received a BS in Communication as well as a BS in Elementary Education from Southern Utah University, and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She also earned a Secondary 2 Biology Endorsement.  

She is a mom of three amazing young men, and is married to a rock star math teacher at Dixie High School.  She loves to hike and camp, travel the world, roadtrip the United States, listen to audio books, cook and bake yummy and healthy foods and binge-watch good TV series like the Great British Baking Show.  She also achieved her goal to get scuba certified for open waters in the summer 2025 in Key Largo, Florida.

She is very excited to be your teacher and wants to help make your online educational experience the best. She truly cares about her students, and wants each student to not just succeed, but to reach their true potential.
