Mrs. Linda heikkila

Mrs. Heikkila (pronounced Hay - kee - la It's a Finnish name) was born in Evanston, Wyoming. Her love of music began when she started piano at the age of 5 and continued lessons into college.

Mrs. Heikkila attended Ricks College (now BYU-Idaho) and then transferred to Brigham Young University where she obtained her Bachelors degree in Theatre, Speech and Music. She received her Masters Degree in Education from Western Governors University.

While at BYU she was a member of the BYU Ballroom Dance Team and competed in Blackpool, England, where they won top honors. She received the "Top Teacher Award" from the BYU Ballroom Dance department. She has been directing choirs for 21 years and has been teaching in the public schools for 9 years.

Mrs. Heikkila enjoys doing activities with her family. She has 6 children - 5 boys and 1 girl. She enjoys running marathons, cycling, triathlons and especially loves water-skiing at Lake Powell. She enjoys traveling, singing and cycling with her husband, Art.
