Mrs. Haslam

    Hi! My name is Chelsea Haslam. I grew up in Hurricane Utah. I was very active in my youth. I played soccer, danced, tumbled, and cheered. I have always had a love for learning and math is by far my favorite subject.

     After graduating high school, I moved to Logan, Utah where I attended Utah State University. After 3 years of college, I took a couple of years off of school while I served a mission in Brazil. Upon my return, I married my high school sweetheart, Bear Haslam, and finished up my schooling. I graduated from USU with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Level 2 Math Endorsement. 

     I began my teaching career at Hurricane Elementary teaching 4th grade. I taught in that position for 5 years and then decided to take two years off to be home with my small children. In 2018, I went back to teaching full time, but this time at Hurricane Intermediate, teaching 6th and 7th grade math. In 2020 I landed my ultimate dream job, teaching Math 7 at UOS.  

     I enjoy spending time with my family. I have 3 small children. My oldest daughter, Breeze, is 11 years old and is in 6th grade. My 9-year old son, Ronan, is in 4th grade this year. My youngest daughter, Berkley, is 5 and is starting Kindergarten this year. As a family, we enjoy playing at parks, riding our mountain bikes, swimming, rollerblading, and just having fun together.
