Welcome to Animation, where you will master the "Illusion of Life" by combining the science of Persistence of Vision with the art of professional visual storytelling. In this project-based course, you will follow a studio workflow to develop a unique character from the "Iceberg" of their backstory, draft an "internal blueprint" storyboard, and design original environments that fulfill your story point. By applying the 12 Principles of Animation, you will transform static sketches into a final 10–15 second masterpiece, mastering techniques through hands-on warm-ups, sharing work on our Padlet Art Wall, and explaining your authentic creative process through Video-Response Assessments. Get ready to prove that "creativity takes courage" as you produce your own cinematic stories!
