The Foundation is proud to help nonprofit organizations continue their work in the categories of education; civic and community betterment; culture and arts; and health, welfare and social services.

There are two types of projects we can apply for: Renewable Energy (REP) and Energy Efficiency (EEP).

2018 FY - coming soon

  • Electric Corridors: Installing electric vehicle charging stations in rest areas along I-80, I-15, I-70 and I-84. The grant’s target is to double the number of electric vehicles (EVs) in the region to more than 50,000 cars in the next 10 years. This would result in an annual reduction of 251 million pounds of CO2 emissions and 24.9 million gallons of gasoline. READ MORE

2017 FY

  • Start a 3-year program with RMP small business district energy efficiency program. Provide energy audits and install energy efficiency measures at most of UDOT's small facilities (stations, rest areas, ports of entry, etc.) There is a 75% cost rebate from Rocky Mountain Power.
  • 98 kilowatt solar array on the Rampton motor pool carports.
