Employees do their best work when they feel supported, valued, and connected to their team. A strengths-based approach that focuses on what people do well can increase engagement and help your new hire feel confident from the start.
Here are a few simple ways to support your employee during their first 30 days:
Talk through their Top 5 Strengths. This helps you learn what motivates them and how they prefer to work. (Tips available)
Create a performance plan together in Vantage to guide them through the probation period.
Review their learning plan to make sure they have the resources they need to grow in their role.
Remind them about benefit deadlines, including retirement and healthcare plan selections.
Starting strong makes a big difference. These small steps can help your new employee feel ready and supported.
