Ferney holds a PhD in language discourse and communication from King’s College London. His research interests have centered on bilingual education, the implications of language policies, processes of construction of teacher identity, rural education, and the relations of all these elements with issues of social justice. Recently, his work has also included critical outlooks of language teaching and learning from the view of race and racialization as well as the problematization of taken-for-granted ideas about the relationship between English and socioeconomic development. He is an assistant professor at the School of Humanities at Universidad Pedagógica Nacional.

José Aldemar has carried out research and has published in areas such as initial training and professional development of English teachers, discourse analysis, intercultural communication and language didactics. His current work focuses on the application of the multimodal semiotic perspective in virtual environments and in the foreign language classroom.

She was awarded the 2018 Illinois Distinguished Qualitative Dissertation Award for her study “TESTIMONIOS OF THE U.S. RURAL “HOMELESS”: A CRITICAL AND DECOLONIZING-DECOLONIZED ETHNOGRAPHY”. Founder and director of the research group Knowledge in Action- KIA. She has generated peace-building processes within and outside the university to promote dialogue. Seed (Facilitator) of “Re-conectando”. Fulbright alumnus. M.A. in Language Teaching from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC). PhD in Cultural Studies and Social Thought in Education, Washington State University. “Under the Skin” is one of her decolonizing spaces.

Nancy Reeves holds a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Philosophy, a Master of Arts in Spanish from Penn State University, and a Master of Arts in English from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, as well as postdoctoral studies in Research from the University of Leicester and in Curriculum from Panamerican University. She has taught in different academic settings, from elementary to university level in different countries. She has also given lectures in several countries. She has worked in curriculum design in several institutions. She joined the Pearson family as Product Specialist for Central America in 2017 and works as Academic Coach for Mexico and Central America.
