Optional activities are self-paced activities that to earn project hours and stipends. Optional Activities are events attended that align with the United program grant goals but are not planned by NPE.  If you did not hear about this event from United, please make sure you have prior approval for the event before uploading.  Contact Amy Killian at amy.killian@usnpe.org.   You will need to upload a certificate to receive credit for the activity. This page keeps you updated on available activities and your progress. All optional hours are totaled and added to the United Hourglass platform at the end of the project year (August 2026), so they won’t appear there until then. In the meantime, click the link below to track your progress.  You may only earn up to 24 optional activity hours.
