Theme: Academic Year 2020-21: A Tectonic Shift in Teaching and Learning
USU Education Day will be held on June 23, 2021 (0730-1200 hours) with our Theme: "Academic Year 2020-21: A Tectonic Shift in Teaching and Learning."
USU Education Day seeks to highlight the innovations of highly accomplished educators throughout the National Capital Region (NCR). The "Innovation in Education" and "Teaching with Technology" Award competitions will be featured again this year. We encourage submissions from Academic Health System partners across all Health Education disciplines.
This year, educators may make one or more submissions to be considered for either of the following awards:
A 20 minute presentation abstract to compete for the Innovation in Education Award (Pre-clinical)
A 20 minute presentation abstract to compete for the Innovation in Education Award (Clinical)
The Education Day event will include one 20-minute time slot each for the winner of the Pre-clinical and Clinical Innovation in Education awards to present their Innovative Teaching Method Abstracts to all Education Day participants. USU and its academic health system partners have many highly accomplished educators. The Faculty Senate Education Committee will look beyond the basic qualities of a good educator, to recognize those teachers who have a great impact on the education of our students through the use of innovative materials and/or methods.
