ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

This workshop on 'The Role of AI in the Education System of Developing Countries in Asia' shall showcase papers with the following content/theme:
Developments and advancements in AI in Education in developing countries/emerging economies
In developing countries and emerging economies, AI has the potential to significantly improve access to education, especially in areas with limited resources or qualified teachers. With the right implementation and investment in AI tools, students can benefit from personalized learning, improved engagement, and better outcomes.
Utilization of AI in Education in the new normal (post-covid)
In the post-COVID world, AI is being increasingly utilized in education to address the challenges brought on by the pandemic, such as remote learning, disrupted academic schedules, and student engagement. AI-powered tools such as adaptive learning platforms, chatbots, and intelligent tutoring systems are being implemented to enhance online learning experiences, provide personalized support, and analyze data to inform instructional decision-making.
Impact of AI in Education among schools/teachers/learners in developing countries/emerging economies
The impact of AI in education among schools, teachers, and learners in developing countries and emerging economies is complex and multifaceted. On the one hand, AI has the potential to improve access, quality, and equity in education. On the other hand, there are challenges related to implementation, infrastructure, and skills, as well as concerns about privacy, bias, and ethics that need to be addressed to fully harness the benefits of AI in education.
