Course Description

The University of Santo Tomas' Bachelor of Arts in Legal Management (LM) is an interdisciplinary program that integrates legal studies with core business and management principles. This program is designed to equip graduates with a thorough understanding of both fields, preparing them to become effective leaders and managers in the dynamic global business environment of the 21st century.

The program offers a comprehensive curriculum in the study of law with core business management principles. The curriculum allocates 70% of the coursework to legal subjects, ensuring students gain a thorough understanding of foundational legal concepts. The remaining 30% focuses on business management, equipping graduates with essential skills in areas such as marketing, finance, and operations. This combination of legal and business knowledge equips graduates with a set of skills to address challenges in various professional environments.

Showcase interpersonal and communication skills to effectively carry out an assigned task in a local or multicultural environment, with due regard to the Filipino culture and identity;
Enhance capability in applying legal and management principles, theories, and concepts in creating solutions to various legal and business management problems;
Exhibit competencies in solving practical problems required in joining the workforce in a corporate environment and
Formulate meaningful contributions as a strategic partner in building the organization to become globally competitive.

FACULTY AND STAFF

The Legal Management program is under the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Letters. Currently, Atty. Teodoro Lorenzo A. Fernandez, Ll. M. is the program coordinator of Legal Management, with Assoc. Prof. Alain Jomarie G. Santos, PhD as his predecessor. The department boasts competent and experienced attorney-professors and management professionals.
