Bogert is excited about embarking on a special project, a school wide book club called "One School, One Book." Each family will receive its own copy of the book The One and Only Ivan, by Katherine Applegate. Families will be asked to read the story together at home during the next few weeks.

"One School, One Book" is a novel program in that children of all grade levels will be listening to the same book. Research has shown that reading to children out loud is beneficial at any age. We have selected a title that can be followed, understood and enjoyed by younger students, while captivating, stimulating and entertaining older students. We look forward to talking with both you and your child during the next few weeks. With your help, we are truly building a Community of Readers in Upper Saddle River.
