Union Star R-II English-Language Arts

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

I am the English/Language Arts teacher for grades 9-12 here at Union Star R-II. Additionally, I coach both the Junior High and High School Academic Teams, and I advise the school yearbook and newspaper.

Additionally, I am a longtime Trojan, a 1996 graduate of Union Star High School. I earned a B.S. Ed. Degree in Secondary English Education from Northwest Missouri State University, then completed a Master of Arts Degree with emphases in English Linguistics and British Literature from NWMSU.

I have previously taught at South Nodaway R-IV High School and King City R-I High School, and continue to be the President of Pearl Publishing, Inc., a weekly newspaper firm that publishes The Tri-County News, The Albany Ledger and The Grant City Times-Tribune.
