Turbulence Computing and Applications (tuca) is a research group based at the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Sciences of the University of São Paulo (ICMC/USP), in São Carlos, Brazil. Our goal is to investigate the behavior of turbulent flows and their impact on environmental problems. We use a multidisciplinary approach that combines mathematical, statistical and computational tools, bridging the fields of meteorology, fluid mechanics, and applied mathematics. We develop and apply advanced simulation tools, such as Large-Eddy Simulation (LES) and stochastic turbulence models, to study atmospheric turbulence and its impact on air quality, weather, and climate. Our work ranges from theoretical advancements in turbulence theory to practical modeling applications in geophysical sciences.
