About me

I am Bruno A. Navarro. I'm Bachelor (BSc.) in Biological Sciences by the Universidade Nove de Julho (UNINOVE, 2015) and Master of Science (MSc.) by the Zoology Department of the Instituto de Biociências da Universidade de São Paulo (IB-USP, 2019).
During my brief career, I was a Fellow (DTI-Level C) of the Industrial and Technological Development Program of Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq, 2015-2016), linked to the SIBBr Platform. This iniciative consisted in contributions of national museums to the implementation of “Brazilian Biodiversity Information System”, and I worked at the Herpetology Collection of the Museu de Zoologia da Universidade de São Paulo (MZ-USP) acting in the amphibians acquis. I am developed my Scientific Initiation Trainee also in the MZ-USP, at the Paleontology Lab, working mainly with the preparation, taxonomic identification and curation of fossil vertebrates (2014). Additionally, in this period, I developed my Bachelor degree monograph about titanosaurian specimens recovered from the Late Cretaceous Bauru Basin, in which defined my group of interest. I’m also worked as a trainee (CODAGE-USP Program) at the MZ-USP's Cultural Diffusion Division (DDC), in the Museology and Museography Lab (Technical Service for Scientific Divulgation and Exhibitions), participating in the assembly of temporary and itinerant exhibitions, organization and execution of scientific divulgation events, as well as in the preparation of graphic materials and scientific illustrations (2012-2013).
This period give me an important experience in the Zoology, Paleontology and Museography areas, highlighting my skills on the study of fossil vertebrates, the curation and technical processing of zoological and paleontological collections, and the development of scientific exhibitions as well.
Actually, I am a Graduate Researcher at Paleontology Lab of MZ-USP and Associate Researcher at Paleoecology and Paleoichnology Lab of the Universidade Federal de São Carlos. My research mainly consists on the study of the diversity and distribution of Brazilian dinosaurian fauna. I am dedicated particularly to the study of titanosaurian anatomy, systematics, taxonomy and biogeographic distribution.
