Since completing my PhD at the University of Kent in 2005, I have been affiliated with the Faculdade de Economia, Administração e Contabilidade de Ribeirão Preto (Faculty of Economics, Management and Accounting at the University of São Paulo at Ribeirão Preto), FEA-RP/USP.
It's worth highlighting that the University of São Paulo is the largest university in Latin America and consistently ranks first in the region across various reputable rankings such as THE and QS. Over the years, I've had the privilege of being a visiting researcher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2012 (for four months under the Capes/Fulbright program), Queen's University Belfast in 2013 (for 12 months funded by Fapesp), and a Research Fellow at Warwick Business School (University of Warwick). During my time at Warwick, I worked on the project titled "Peso Problems, Market Expectations, and Currency Risk" as part of the Newton Fund Advanced Fellowship from 2018 to 2020.

Education
Ph.D. Economics, University of Kent, UK, 2005.
M.Sc. Economics, State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, 2001.
B.A. Economics, State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, 1995 .
My primary research focus is Applied International Finance, specifically macro-finance models related to the foreign exchange rate market.
I also integrate applied microstructure models into my work. A significant aspect of my research involves the dynamics of exchange rates, particularly the pricing of currency risk.
Teaching at USP is an integral and enjoyable aspect of my career, particularly in the fields of Macroeconomics and International Finance. Here is the International Macroeconomics or International Finance program for FEA-RP/USP postgraduates.
