Q: Can parents/guardians come to Halsey Fieldhouse Gym to watch camp?
A: Of course! Parents/Guardians are welcome at any point to come and watch camp. Unless you have DOD Identification, you'll need to access the Yard through the visitor's entrance at Gate 1 of the USNA.
Q: Are walk-up registrations available for the day of the camps?
A: Walk-up registrations will be available for each camp, however, it's based on availability. We have a capacity limit on the participants for each of our camps, so we recommend you register online before the camp is deemed "sold out."

Q: How can I sign up/register my child for camp?
A: You can register your child for camp here. You will receive an email confirmation once registered.

Q: What time can my camper check-in/be dropped off?
A: Campers can be dropped off at 8:45am and picked up at 3:30pm from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium each day. Campers will take a bus from the football stadium to Halsey Field House at the U.S. Naval Academy. The address for Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium is 550 Taylor Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21401. All campers will follow the same morning drop off procedure.
Q: What time and where can my half-day camper be picked up?
A: Half-day campers will be picked up at Noon each day at "Barry Gate," which is on the corner of Prince George Street & Craig Street.
Q: What is the check-in/check-out process?
A: To ensure the safety of all campers, we ask that a parent/guardian sign their camper/s in and out of camp each day.
Q: What if I am running late in the morning or my child needs to leave camp early?
A: All campers are expected to arrive and stay the duration of camp they're registered for. However, we understand situations may arise so please communicate with Jaren Marino, jmarino@usna.edu, sooner than later to make arrangements.
Q: What kind of medical care will be available?
A: Certified athletic trainers will be on site for the duration of camp. If medication needs to be given or there is a special circumstance our medical staff needs to be aware of, please inform our athletic trainer during check-in on the first day of camp.
Q: Will drinks be provided?
A: Water will be provided at no cost. Gatorade will be available at the concession stand for purchase each day.
Q: Will lunch be provided?
A: Lunch will not be provided, however, snacks will be available for purchase through the camp bank at the concession stand all day/each day. Full-day campers should bring their own lunch.
Q: What is the camp bank?
A: Parents/Guardians/Campers can put money into their camper's "bank" at the beginning of camp each day so the camper does not have to carry around any funds. For ex. a parent can put $40 in their camper's bank on Monday during camp registration. Throughout camp, whenever the camper wants a snack or drink, the concession worker will deduct the purchase from their camp bank. If there is a positive balance in the campers bank at the end of camp, Parents/Guardians/Campers can receive a refund by going to the concession stand.
Q: Where can my child store their lunch box?
A: Campers can store their belongings in the bleachers.
Q: What should my child wear?
A: Campers should be dressed in a t-shirt, shorts/pants, and sneakers.
Q: What's a typical daily camp schedule?

9:00-9:30am Greeting / Rules of Camp / Make Teams / Stretching
9:30-10:30am Stations such as passing, dribbling, shooting, defensive slides, agility, etc.
10:30am Competition of the Day such as knockout, money ball, free throw competition, etc.
12:00pm Half-Day Dismissal / Lunch / Coach Presentation to Campers / Free Shoot
1:00pm 5 on 5 Games
1:45pm Camp Games such as Simon Says, Telephone, Navy Tag, Etc.
2:30pm 5 on 5 Games
3:30-3:45pm Dismissal / Pick Up at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
Q: Will my camper receive a t-shirt?
A: Yes, all campers will receive a camp t-shirt!
Q: Will the camps be separated by age/skill level?
A: All of our camps will be separated by age. Anticipated age groupings are 5-6, 7-9, 11-12, 13-16. Campers who are advanced with their basketball skills or lack there of, may move up or down to a different group. This would just need to be brought to the staff's attention. Whether your camper has never touched a basketball or is very skilled, your camper will improve and have a good time.
