We are so excited to be a part of such an important chapter in your child's life. We know that the key to this is through communication. We want to support you and your family in any way we can. This starts with creating a safe, nurturing environment where every student is known. This is going to be an exciting year, and we cannot wait to get started!

Kindergarten Registration

& Orientation

We are excited to welcome our incoming kindergarten students for the fall of 2025-2026!

Children who reach age 5 on or before Aug 31, 2025, are eligible for kindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 School Year.

Step 1: New Student Registration / Then select the blue 2025-2026 New Student Registration button and follow the directions.

Step 2: Next, to complete your student's registration, provide the documents listed on the registration page by dropping them by our school office, or emailing them to Tracee Sowers, Administrative Assistant- tracee.sowers@usd497.org by April 11th, 2025.

Documents Needed (please provide before orientation)

Birth Certificate -this must be seen in person
Proof of Residency - Accepted forms: current utility statement - water/gas/or electric, current car registration, or a new lease agreement. If purchasing a home - the Settlement Statement from closing.
Current Immunizations
Physical/Health Assessment
Parent/Guardian Picture ID - To match the name on the birth certificate or the name on guardianship paperwork
Guardianship Papers - If applicable

Step 3: Once your student's registration is complete, call Cordley to sign up for one of our Kindergarten Orientation sessions being held on April 16th. Sessions Available: 9:30am, 11:00am, and 1:00pm

Step 4: Please note, if you email your student's birth certificate, please bring your student's original certified birth certificate to Kindergarten Orientation to be verified.

NOTE: Children of families that are culturally &/or linguistically diverse, email cldscreening@usd497.org to schedule an appointment for your student to complete the state-mandated required screening as part of the registration process.
