ARRIVAL
Students should arrive no earlier than 7:20 am
Breakfast is served from 7:30 am - 7:50 am
Students who do not eat breakfast will meet in designated areas by grade level until 7:50 am
First bell at 7:50 am
Tardy Bell at 8:00 am
Students arriving after the tardy bell will be counted tardy and need to sign in at the office.
ABSENCES
Parents/Guardians are to notify the school office before 8:30 am when their child is ill.
LUNCH SCHEDULES
Kindergarten- Recess 11:00am - 11:20am / Lunch 11:20am - 11:40am
1st Grade- Lunch 11:35am - 11:55am / Recess 11:55am - 12:15pm
2nd Grade- Lunch 11:50am - 12:10pm / Recess 12:10pm - 12:30pm
3rd Grade- Recess 11:10am - 11:30am / Lunch 11:30am - 11:50am
4th Grade- Lunch 11:45am - 12:05pm / Recess 12:05pm - 12:25pm
5th Grade- Lunch 11:25am - 11:45am / Recess 11:45am - 12:05pm
6th Grade- Recess 11:20am - 11:40am / Lunch 11:40am - 12:00pm
ABSENCES

DISMISSAL
All students are dismissed at 3:25 pm
Kindergarten, 4th, 5th, & 6th grades are dismissed on the West side doors by the main office.
1st, 2nd, & 3rd grades are dismissed on the East side doors
ALL students crossing the street must use the crosswalk.
TRAFFIC PROCEDURES
USD 428 and the Great Bend Police Department would like to inform you of safety procedures to be used when dropping off or picking up students from Lincoln Elementary.
Drivers may want to use the parking stalls south of Lincoln.
In accordance with Kansas Standard Traffic Ordinances, students need to be using crosswalks to get across the street.
Drivers are not permitted to stop in the middle of Broadway for pick up/drop off.
Drivers that choose to park on the north or south side of Broadway street may do so only in legal areas.
Drivers picking up on Broadway will need to stay in an orderly line and wait for their student within the designated orange coned area. Students will not be sent not be allowed to enter the roadway to get into a car.
Drivers are not permitted to stop, stand, or park on street where the curb is yellow or blocking any private driveway.
All other traffic ordinances will be enforced by law enforcement including: speeding (the speed limit is 20 miles per hour from 7:30 am to 8:00 am and 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm), U-turns, failure to use signals, illegal stopping, illegal parking, impeding traffic, jaywalking, etc.
Traffic tends to be congested during arrival and dismissal times. In order to ensure the safety of our students, please be aware of your surroundings!
