CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP
Nominees for membership in the Hall of Fame shall be former graduates or personnel of Great Bend High School. Nominees may be living or deceased. An individual may not nominate himself or herself. Candidates are eligible for membership in the following four categories – student, staff member, outstanding career achievement and special award.
CLASSIFICATION CRITERIA
STUDENT – Must be a graduate of Great Bend High School; is eligible for nomination ten years after graduation; must have performed with excellence and lettered in a varsity activity; must have had and continues to have outstanding character and citizenship; won an individual state championship and/or is a school record holder (past or present) and/or received a first team all-state award and/or demonstrated multi-sport (activity) excellence
STAFF MEMBER – Must have been employed at USD 428 for at least ten years; must have distinguished him/herself at Great Bend High School by demonstrating exceptional leadership, character, and achievement; received local, area, or state awards and/or developed successful programs
OUTSTANDING CAREER ACHIEVEMENT – Must be a graduate of Great Bend High School; must have had and continues to have outstanding character and citizenship; must have demonstrated outstanding and exceptional abilities in his/her career
SPECIAL AWARD – is a person, group, or business that has been a devoted supporter of education at Great Bend High School

Using the Google Form below, answer a few brief questions to make sure our selection committee knows a few highlights about your potential nominee. This is a great first step before completing an official nomination packet.

If you would like to submit an official GBHS Hall of Fame Nomination, please download the packet (link below).
Along with the nomination form, you'll be asked to include:
Three (3) letters of recommendation
Information specific to the nominee’s category (See Required Category information)
Newspaper; photos, and/or other materials to support the nominee's consideration for this award
The completed nomination form and supporting information should be returned to:

The completed packet must be received by April 1 to be considered for the current year's Hall of Fame Induction. A celebratory luncheon and Induction Ceremony are typically held in the Fall to coincide with a home GBHS Varsity Football Game.
