Coaching:
Coach Lashley has been coaching since 1990. During his coaching career, he has coached at both the high school and collegiate levels. History includes; 1 year at Ruston HS (LA), 1 year at Hitchcock HS (TX), 9 years at Barton County CC, 2 years at Larned HS, 9 years at Ellinwood HS, and has been the head cross country and track & field coach at Great Bend HS since 2016.
Accomplishments include;
While at Barton County CC, he won 31 National Championships, was named National Coach of the Year 4 times, Region 6 Coach of the Year 16 times, and was inducted into the NJCAA Track & Field Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2015.
While at Ellinwood HS, his teams won 4 State Championships, 5 State Runners up, and 2 3rd place finishes. He was also named Boys KCCTFCA Cross Country Coach of the Year twice, Boys KCA Overall Cross Country Coach of the Year, NFHS Midwest Section Coaches Association CC Coach of the Year, KCCTFCA Girls Track Coach of the Year, and KCCTFCA Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year.
While at Great Bend, he has led the Panther boys to 5 straight State appearances, and 4 with the girls cross country team. with a State CC 3rd Place and a State Track runner up finish. He has been named WAC Cross Country Coach of the Year four times, Track COY twice, KCCTFCA COY in CC and Track once, and selected the KCCTFCA President.
High School:
Graduated from Neville High School (Monroe, LA) in 1991 where he participated in Track/ Cross Country. Accomplishments include; Captain of the 1990 4A Louisiana State Champion team, named All State Cross Country/Track, and was the 3000m Indoor State Champion.
College:
Graduated from Louisiana Tech in 1996 where he was a 4 year letterman while competing in Track/ Cross Country.
Head Football Coach

Coaching:
Coach Beck began his coaching career in 2009/10. History includes, football and basketball assistant for 3 years at Great Bend HS, D- Coordinator for 3 years at Truman HS, and has been the assistant track & field coach and Head Football Coach since 2016/17 at Great Bend HS. Coach Beck has led the Panthers to multiple Regional Championships, a Sectional Championship/ Sub-State Runner-Up, and a WAC championship in which he was named WAC Coach of the Year. He is currently the 4th all-time winningest coach at Great Bend HS and was selected to coach in the Shrine Bowl as an assistant in 2020.
High School:
Graduated from Claflin High School in 2003 where he participated in Football, Basketball, and Track. Accomplishments include, 3 time Football State Runner-Up, 1 State Championship, All-State Selection, and 4 time State Track & Field Medalist.
College:
Graduated from Washburn in 2008 where he competed in football for 4 years. Accomplishments include, 2005 MIAA Championship, 4 year letter winner, 2 time Academic All-Conference.
Head Golf Coach

Coaching:
Coach Nelson began her coaching career as the assistant girls golf in 2020 for Great Bend High School. After assisting for 3 years she became head coach in 2024. Coach Nelson has given swing lessons to players for over 8 years throughout her career.
High School:
Nelson attended West Aurora High School in Aurora, IL for three years, playing golf, basketball, and softball. In golf she qualified for sectionals all three years, was on the all-academic team all 3 years, and was an all-conference team player 2 years, and won the Excellence in Athletics award for the 2013-2014 year. She graduated from Spring Hill High School where she was a top 10 finisher at state and made the All-Conference team and All-Academic team.
College:
Nelson attended Barton Community College for two years where she golfed and was nationally qualified both years. She then finished her collegiate career at Kansas Wesleyan University becoming the KCAC champions in 2018 leading them to compete at the national level and was awarded KCAC character award.

Coach Chuy began his coaching career in 2004. He has spent a great deal of time working with youth coaching club soccer as well as coaching both the middle school and high school soccer teams. History includes; coaching GBUFC since 2012, the Great Bend MS since 2015, and has been the Head Boys Soccer Coach since 2016 for his alma mater Great Bend HS. Coach Chuy has led the Panthers to a Titan Classic Championship in 2016, a Regional Runner up in 2016 & 2019, and a Regional Championship in 2018 & 2020.

Coach Bartel has been coaching here at Great Bend HS since 2012. History includes; instructional league basketball coach, assistant boys tennis coach, co-head boys tennis coach, assistant girls tennis coach, and has been the Head Girls Tennis Coach since 2019 at Great Bend HS.

Graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1997 where he participated in Tennis. His Senior year he was a state qualifier in doubles.

Coach Duvall began her coaching career in 2010. History includes, Freshmen Coach at Great Bend HS, Head Coach at Ellinwood HS, and has been the Head Coach at Great Bend HS since 2017. She was named Coach of the Year in 2019 & 2020, and added a Sub-State Championship in 2020.

Graduated from Ellinwood HS in 1999 where she participated in Volleyball, Track, and Basketball. Accomplishments include; 1st Team All-State Volleyball for 2 years, 1st Team All-League Volleyball for 3 years, 8th place finish at State Volleyball, 4 State Track & Field appearances in Javelin, 1 of which included a 3rd place medal.

Graduated from Salina South High School in 2004 where he participated in Basketball, Baseball, and Football. Accomplishments include; All-League I-70 Honors, Central Kansas All-Star Basketball Game MVP, 3rd Place Finish Class 5A State Baseball, and 2 Class 5A State Basketball Appearances.

Graduated from Kansas State University in 2010. In 2005 he competed in Basketball while attending Bethany College.

Coaching: In 2019 Coach Winter began her coaching career. She coached the Marion Heim's Dream Team (MAYB). Jade has been the Head Girls Coach at Otis-Bison High School for the past three seasons.
High School: Jade graduated from Derby High School in 2017, where she participated in basketball. She was honorable mention All-Leauge in 2016 and 2017 and her team finished runner-up in the state tournament in 2017.
College:
She continued her Basketball career in College playing at Fort Scott Community College and Park University. She later graduated from Wichita State in 2021.

Coach Feldbauer began his coaching career in 2014. History includes, coaching in Michigan at Coldwater HS, and has been the Head Coach at Great Bend HS since 2018. He has led the Panthers to an Invitational Championship, and a Regional Championship.

Began coaching swimming in 2006 as assistant high coach under Steve Beaumont. I have coached swim off and on from that point at the club and high school levels. My most recent coaching experience was as the Great Bend head coach for both boys and girls teams from 2019-2022. Head coaching applimishments include: 3 WAC Championships and WAC coach of the year 3 times.
High School:
Attended Rawlins High School in Rawlins, Wyoming. Participated on 4 conference and state championship teams, placed in top 6 all 4 years in 500 freestyle, received all conference and all state honors all 4 years. Graduated in 2000.
College:
Attended college at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Swam on the swim team for 1 year and competed at DIV II Nationals in the 500 free, 1500 free, 200 breaststroke, and 400 IM. Graduated in 2004 with Early Childhood Special Education Degree.
Head Wrestling Coach

Coaching: Coach Lueders began his coaching career in 2008 and has been a Head Wrestling Coach for 14 seasons. 2024-2025 will mark his first season with Great Bend HS. His coaching pedigree includes Dodge City HS, Bishop Carroll Catholic HS, and Salina Central HS. All as Head Wrestling Coach. Coach Lueders has been named Kansas' 6A Coach of the Year 2x and Kansas' 5A Coach of the Year 1x, which was this past season. Along with state awards, Coach Lueders has been named the WAC Coach of the Year 2x and the AVCTL-II Coach of the Year 3x. Coach Lueders has a career dual meet record of 123-33. In his 14 seasons as a head coach, Coach Lueders has produced 73 State Medalists, 14 State Champions, and 5 High School All-Americans.
High School: Coach Lueders wrestled 3 years and was state qualifier for Clinton HS in Iowa for Hall of Fame wrestler, Dan Knight. Clinton was also home of Hall of Fame coach, Bob Lueders, which is Coach Lueders’ grandfather. Coach Lueders wrestled for Eagle Valley HS in Colorado his senior year where he was a State Medalist.
College: Coach Lueders wrestled for the University of Northern Colorado before transferring to Western State College, now Western Colorado University. He was a 2x NCAA National Qualifier and 2x All-RMAC selection. Coach Lueders was ranked as high as 3 rd in the NCAA Division II National Rankings, in all publications. He was also ranked in the top 20 in the NCAA’s All-Division Rankings.

Coach Beck has been coaching since 1994 when he accepted his first job after college joining the Great Bend Panthers and has continued to develop student athletes here ever since. History includes; assistant baseball coach for 16 years, assistant football coach for 17 years, and has been the Head Baseball Coach since 2009/10 at Great Bend HS. Accomplishments include; Regional Champs and State appearances in 2010, 2018, and 2019, 2 WAC Championships, and 2 time WAC Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2016.
High School:
Graduated from Hoisington High School in 1988 where he participated in Baseball, Football, Basketball, and Track. Accomplishments include; all-conference selection in both baseball and in football, named to the All-Area football team in 1988, and qualified for the State Track & Field meet.
College:
Graduated from Fort Hays State University in 1993 where he competed in Baseball. Accomplishments include; All-Conference selection 2 years in a row, and is currently in the record book for career triples, career sacrifices, career defensive assists, and single season sacrifices.

Coach Minton began her coaching career in 2001. History includes; assistant basketball and softball for 5 years at Great Bend HS, head girls basketball for 1 year at Wabaunsee HS, assistant girls basketball for 1 year at Barton County Community College, assistant girls basketball for 2 years, head softball for 1 year at Ellinwood HS, head girls basketball for 8 years at Great Bend HS, and has been the head softball coach for her alma mater Great Bend HS since 2010. Coach Minton has led the Panthers to 5 WAC Championships, a Regional Championship, and is the all time winningest softball coach over the course of the last 30 years.

Graduated from Great Bend High School in 1995 where she participated in tennis, basketball, and softball. Accomplishments include; 8th and 9th place finish in State Tennis, qualified for the State Tournament in basketball, 2 times selected to the All-WAC and All-Area basketball team, 2 time State qualifier in softball, and was selected to the All-WAC softball team.
College:
Graduated from Barton County Community College and then went on to graduate from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2000 where she competed in both basketball and tennis. Accomplishments include; RMAC #2 doubles championship and RMAC #3 doubles championship.

Began in 2017 Assistant for GBMS Boys for 5 years. Joined GBHS Soccer as assistant in 2021 for 2 years (going on 3,) Accepted Head Coaching position for GBMS Girls in 2021 for 2 years. Assisted in Club Soccer for Panthers United and GBUFC.
High School:
Graduated GBHS in 2012. Participated in Soccer, Basketball, and Tennis. Accomplishments include: Captain of 2011 Squad that was the first team in GBHS history to win a Regional Championship & reach the State Quarter Finals. The team won the Titan Classic, placed 2nd in WAC and still holds the record for Best Record (15-4) and Most Team Goals in a season (77.) In soccer Noel was 1st Team All Conference, 1st Team Southwest Kansas, and All State Honorable Mention.
