The USD #421 Lyndon Library Media Program exists to support the learning and teaching of all Tiger students and staff from PreK through 12th grade. Our library is a welcoming space that fosters a lifelong love of reading and learning, promotes curiosity, and provides equitable access to a wide range of resources. Through collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, we empower students to become informed, engaged, and empathetic members of their community.
Mrs. Heather Green brings 16 years of experience in education, with a strong foundation in teaching English at both the middle and high school levels. She earned her Bachelor's degree in English Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and later pursued her passion for literacy and learning by earning a Master’s in Library and Information Science from Emporia State University.
While this is only her second year serving in the library full-time, Mrs. Green has been the behind-the-scenes force helping to keep the libraries running smoothly since the 2019–2020 school year. Her love for reading is rooted in the belief that books are gateways to knowledge, imagination, and adventure—and perhaps best of all, they’re the most affordable way to "travel" the world.
