I would like to take this opportunity to thank a great staff and student body on what has been one of the toughest and most challenging years of my career. While I'm not thankful for this pandemic and the new "normal" we are forced to work with, I'm proud of the efforts of our staff, students, and community to get through this trying time together. It has been great watching our Student-Council step it up and offer a variety of activities such as digital escape rooms, sexy leg/staff baby photo contests, and team building just to name a few to help keep student spirits up. A special thank you goes out to sponsors Janelle Maier and Jessica Funk for leading these fun activities.
Sincerely, Brandon Rice
Nice work to all students who created new presentations/materials for this years SLC. I am pleased with your efforts and thanks to all the parents who made time to meet with your child. Anyone who needs to make up their conference times please have your student meet with their seminar teacher to reschedule.
Otis Bison elementary school celebrated Read Across America March 1st-5th with a week of reading activities in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday. This annual event focuses on the fun and importance of reading. Teachers had the option of promoting dress up days and with the help of the junior high and high school students all classes had the chance to buddy up and read. The students looked forward to this time all week! Thank you teachers for encouraging reading every day!
¡Hola! My name is Ann Baus. I teach Spanish I and II at Otis-Bison High School, and I also oversee the Virtual Learning Classes (VLC) and the English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program.
