It is generally recommended that students BEGIN taking the ACT and SAT in the first semester of their junior year. Students wishing to take college classes while in high school will need qualifying test scores and may need to take the ACT earlier. AHS hosts the ACT test each time it is offered, except for the July date. The ACT has four parts: Reading Comprehension, Math, English, and Science.
