In-House Days
In-House days are structured similar to a typical school day, and teachers lead lessons in each of the core content areas. Students can come to our school from 8:30 - 12:00 and can expect to participate in core subject lessons. Students (and teachers) love in-house days as they are a great way to develop peer relationships while also receiving additional teaching and support in their classes.
Field Trips
We take 4-6 field trips a year. This is a great opportunity for students to meet new friends and explore the greater Wichita museums and attractions. In the past we have gone to the Exploration Place, Cowtown, Sedgwick County Zoo, Aviate, and more!
Clubs
Clubs are a great way to have fun with their teachers and peers. We currently offer bowling club and game club every other month. We are always looking for parent sponsors to host a club.
Special Events
Our 8th grade students get to participate in a promotion ceremony at the end of the year. This is a special time to recognize their achievements in front of family and close friends before they move up to high school. We also recognize our Honor Roll students each semester. This is a great motivational tool for both learning coaches and students. We also offer events throughout the year including guest speakers, holiday parties, and more!
