What are the expectations of me? Students are required to try-out for the team as there are limitations to the number of students who can be on a competitive team. Should you be chosen for the team by the coaches, you will be expected to...

1.  Attend practices. Science Olympiad runs from October through possibly April if the team qualifies for state. We encourage participation in other sports/activities, please fill in any conflicts that might occur on your tryout application. 

• Practice Information: Middle School Practice is held after school on Wednesday's from 3-4:15pm in Mrs. Biebighauser's room. High School Practice is held in room on seminar days. We will have Saturday build sessions as we get close to the competition. 

  • Students are required to attend practices. If you miss without prior approval from a coach, this will be counted as unexcused, and 3 unexcused practices will result in dismissal from the team.

2. Prepare for what is required of the events that are on your case-load.

• Invitationals - HS Team Heights High School January 24, MS Wilbur Invitation January TBD

• Regionals – Saturday, February 21 at ACHS

• State – Saturday, April 4, 2026 at WSU

Lettering Requirements for Science Olympiad at ACHS: For students wishing to obtain a letter in Science Olympiad, the requirements are to:

• Attend and actively contribute to practices at least 50% of the year.

• Earn a medal in at least one event at a Science Olympiad tournament, or compete as a senior in Science Olympiad.
