Our String Family

Ms. House is in her eleventh year teaching orchestra and is excited to lead the Andover Central Orchestra program! She holds degrees in violin performance, music education (Bachelor of Arts, Kansas Wesleyan University, 2013), and Arts Management and Leadership (Masters of Arts, Wichita State University, 2021). 

Ms. House teaches the Delano 101 Youth Orchestra each summer and maintains a private string studio in West Wichita. Additionally, she has presented nationally on tone production and is an active member of TODA, NAfME, and ASTA. Many of her students have gone on to major in music, perform in youth symphonies, and inspire others to perform. They can be found throughout the Wichita community performing. Prior to Andover, Ms. House taught in Wichita at Horace Mann Middle School (6-8th grades) and Northwest High School (9-12th grades). Her orchestras are frequently complimented on tone production and expressive qualities.

Her favorite composers are Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, and Liszt. When not teaching or performing, Ms. House can be found playing board games, tending to her garden, chilling with her family, and exploring nature.
