About The Library

Library Goal

The goal of the Wellington Middle School Library Media program is to prepare students to become lifelong readers and learners. We will strive to ensure that all students are critical and creative thinkers and ethical users of ideas and information. We will teach students to recognize and verify credible sources of information and understand the importance of creating a positive digital footprint!

Hours of Operation, Policies, and Procedures

7:30 am -3:40 pm Monday - Friday

Students may come to the library to check out books ANY day and time as long as they have teacher permission and a signed agenda.

Students may check out up to two books for up to two weeks. Students with overdue books will not be permitted to check out a new book until their account is reconciled. We will not charge overdue fees until the end of the school year but will charge to replace a book it if is damaged beyond repair or lost. We want all students to have access to and enjoy the books in our library so please keep looking for any lost books!

When you are here:

With a Class: When you come to the library with your class, you will most likely be receiving some direct instruction from the librarian and your teacher, and also using the library resources for research and learning. Unless you're told otherwise, when you come to the library with a class, you should go over to the table area and wait there.

On Your Own: When you come to the library from Quest or another class, or before or after school, you can use the library for anything library or school related that is quiet and respectful of those around you. You are welcome to check out a book, read in the comfy chairs, or do homework at a study table. You can also use the library computers for homework, schoolwork or research. You're welcome to meet with a partner or group for a school project as long as you remember to work quietly!

Please do not bring food or drinks to the library.

Although you have access to the Internet, students are expected to use the resource responsibly.
