The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens on October 1, 2025. Use your 2024 tax information to apply for the 2026-2027 FAFSA.
First, create an FSA ID (FAFSA Account). Parent and student each need one. Second, start your FAFSA. There is a student section and a parent section. Students must complete their section first and then invite their parents to complete theirs.
