The TeamMates Mentoring Program is a school-based mentoring program that pairs students with caring, supportive adult mentors from the community. The goal is to help students build strong relationships, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.
How It Works:
Students meet with their mentor once a week during school hours.
Meetings are one-on-one and focused on building a positive, trusting relationship.
Mentors provide encouragement, listen, and support students in setting and reaching personal and academic goals.
Why It Matters:
Research shows that mentoring can lead to improved attendance, higher grades, and increased self-esteem. It gives students another adult in their corner—someone who believes in them and shows up consistently.
Participation is always voluntary, and parents are kept informed and involved. TeamMates is a powerful way to help students feel seen, supported, and motivated.
