look at the end of line one, write letter A
look at the end of line two:
if it rhymes with the line above it, write A
if it does not rhyme with the line above it, write B
look at the end of line three:
see if it rhymes with any of the lines above it:Â
if it does, write the letter of the line it rhymes with
if it does not, write C because you are going on in the alphabet
continue on like that until at a new stanza
start over with letter A at the start of the new stanza
each new stanza will cause the charting of the rhyme scheme to return to letter A
when charting a rhyme scheme, write going down whenever possible
if it's the same word, then it label as though it rhymes even though this is technically repetition
if writing it on the poem itself, put the letters so they are in a column going down in a row (so eye-ball the longest line and go up to the first line and put the letter aligned with it; that way when you're done, all the letters are in a straight line going down; you should not have a zig-zaggy line
