This will be my fifteenth year teaching and fourth in the library!
Reading! I love reading so many different things: picture books, nonfiction books about animals, mysteries, fantasy novels, gardening magazines, librarian blogs, and so much more.
Mexican food. I LOVE eating Mexican food.
Fall is my absolute FAVORITE season. I love everything about it!
My favorite color is teal.
I really enjoy gardening (flowers and vegetables) but did not do much this year. It is too hot!
Nature: camping, hiking, bonfires and s'mores. (Here are pictures from a camping trip with my aunt and daughter this summer where we got to explore caves!)
I am married and have one daughter, Airyn.
My husband Jeff is a writer (sports journalist). He grew up in Wichita and went to WSU. He is a HUGE Cleveland Guardians fan!
Our daughter Airyn is going to K-State for her second year in college. She's majoring in Fashion Design. She also loves to read and do anything artistic!
Soo has been with us for over fifteen years and pretty much sleeps all day.
Nettie & Seven were rescued from the shelter eight years ago as kittens. Seven stays outside and protects us from mice and rats.
Allie is four years old and is a crazy, wild kitten-cat who keeps trying to get the old ladies to play with her.
Bernie is our newest addition by accident: our daughter found him hiding in a tree at the end of our driveway when she was home for a weekend last November. He wasn't quite full grown and didn't belong to anyone around us, so now he's ours. He's a silly, funny boy!
In February 2020, we were lucky enough to move into our new house built on my family's farm property near Andale. I grew up in the country near the Oklahoma border and missed it so much. We are so happy being in the country now with wide open spaces and wildlife!
