1:1 Chromebook Initiative Overview

The focus of the USD 261 one-to-one (1:1) Chromebook initiative is to prepare students for their future in a world of digital technology and information. As we navigate the 21st century, excellence in education requires that technology be readily available and seamlessly integrated throughout the educational program. The 1:1 Chromebook initiative provides students with a personal device to explore and utilize educational resources such as accessing class content and textbooks online to collaborating with classmates and teachers from both inside and outside the classroom. It also helps by providing our students with the skills to work digitally, collaborate meaningfully, and communicate in connected, real-world ways. Haysville Public Schools strive to use the latest technology to enhance student learning, engagement, and achievement.

We will continue to prepare our students with 21st century trends in education with the 1:1 Chromebook program at the high school. Campus High and Haysville High School's began the 1:1 Chromebook initiative in the Fall of 2019. Chromebooks are available for each student in Grades 9-12 to use for learning at school and home while enrolled at CHS or HHS.
