Orchestras

East High has three orchestras: Freshmen Orchestra, Symphonic Orchestra, and Chamber Strings (auditioned group). 

The Symphonic Orchestra (Orchestra 3-5th Hour) is for 10-12 grade orchestra students. 

All incoming freshmen should sign up for the Freshmen Orchestra (Orchestra 1-7th Hour). 

All East orchestras will focus on musical growth and ensemble performance, and will study several different musical styles.

The ensembles sharpen skills in tone, rhythm, technique, and expression. The groups perform at school concerts, festivals, and community events throughout the year, showcasing their hard work and musical talent. Students can also participate in a variety of musical activities, including solo and ensemble festivals, pit orchestra, Ensemble Club, District and State Honor Orchestras, and the Tri-M Music National Honor Society.
