About Mrs. Thomsen

After earning my degree at WSU in 2002, I taught 5th grade at Mueller for 6 years. Then I was the librarian at Isely until the Spring of 2014. Fall 2014 is when I became an Instructional Technology Specialist in the Tech Lab. My masters are from Emporia State University in Instructional Design and Technology and Pittsburg State University in Educational Technology with a Library emphasis. Can you tell I enjoy using technology? Especially with my students! I am a life-long learner and want to grow that desire in my students!

Now for the scoop about me! My husband and I have been married since 2002. Our daughter was born in 2006 and our son was born in 2009. Having our family has made our lives so much more full and enjoyable! I enjoy supporting local activities in Wichita, learning about other cultures, traveling, cooking, being environmentally aware, being active (especially biking), and reading!
