The boys had their best offensive night of the season, putting up over 80 points in an 83-36 win. Emporia came out of the gates hot, scoring the first nine points of the game and putting up 24 and 29 in the first two quarters as they led 53-19 at the half. They would out-score Paola 30-17 in the second half.
Two Spartans set career-highs in Harrison Trelc and Rylan Crowell. Trelc totaled 20 points, while Crowell had 13 points. Sheldon Stewart (16) and River Peters (12) also were in double-figures in the win.
Emporia (12-7) will conclude the regular season Friday night against Washburn Rural in Topeka. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
