About Dragon Farms

Located in Pittsburg Kansas, Dragons Farms is the collection of students and educators at Pittsburg High School working with community partners to provide the PHS and the Pittsburg community with fresh greens year-round. Dragon Farms is a stand-alone hydroponic container farm growing over 2.5 acres of produce per year. Crops grown at Dragon Farms include a variety of Lettuces, Kale, and Basil. Dragon Greens are sold to the PHS cafeteria, and local restaurants, and a large portion of greens are donated to students and the community throughout the year. Dragon Farms is a proud vendor at the Pittsburg Community Farmers Market, where students interact with the public from April through October. Dragon Farms was established in the Fall of 2021 and is overseen by Mrs. Aubry Ross, educator at PHS.
