College Credit/Concurrent Enrollment

Juniors and Seniors who have met the required pre-requisites may enroll in the following class for college credit through Pittsburg State University and Fort Scott Community College: 

The cost to the student during the 2022 - 2023 school year was $105 per credit (with most classes being three credits) plus some classes require additional books and/or software (costs are subject to increase for the 2023 - 2024 school year).  See Mrs. Gabern if you have questions.

Students may also take online college courses through approved Colleges/Universities. See Mrs. Gabern for more information.


Vocational Programs Offered 

 Juniors and Seniors who are on track to graduate with their class may seek permission to attend a vocational program as part of their school day. Fees may be associated with some programs, see Mrs. Gabern for more information. Programs offered include:

Automotive Technology

Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) (must be 16 by end of class)

Certified Medication Aide (CMA) (must be 18 by end of class)

Collision Repair Technology

Construction Technology

Cosmetology (Seniors in their second semester only)

Culinary Arts

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) (must be 18 by end of class)

Heating & Air Conditioning Repair (HVAC) 

Masonry Technology

Welding Technology

These programs have their tuition covered through 'SB 155.' There are also online vocational programs available. Please see Mrs. Gabern for more information.
