Head Coach

Tyler Cordts

Tyler Cordts is a graduate of Central College with an undergraduate degree in History with a master's degree in Special Education. He is in his fourth year as the head coach at Gardner-Edgerton High School, where he is a Special Education teacher. Tyler is also the assistant coach at Pioneer Ridge Middle School. Previously he was the head coach at Basehor-Linwood High school and was an assistant for one year at Santa Fe Trail High School, and two years at Pella High School (Pella, Ia). Tyler competed in wrestling while attending Central College. Tyler resides in Gardner and is married to his wife Katie, together they have one son, Clyde.

Jerad Gorney

Jerad is a graduate of Fort Hays State University and finished with an undergraduate degree in Biology and with a master's degree in Biology. He is in his tenth year as an assistant coach at Gardner-Edgerton High School, where he is a Science teacher. Jerad is also the Head Coach at Wheatridge Middle School. Jerad resides in Gardner and is married to his wife Ashley, together they have two children, Jeryn and Ian.

Austin Keehn

Austin Keehn is a GEHS alum and has been an assistant coach at the high school for six years. He is also the assistant wrestling coach at Wheatridge Middle School. Austin is in his fifth year as a Para at GEHS. He has an associates degree in Liberal Arts from Johnson County Community College, and is currently taking classes to obtain his Bachelor's Degree.

Trenton Hoover

Trent Hoover is a graduate of Baker University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. He attended and wrestled at Neosho County Community College for one year before transferring to Baker where he wrestled for three years and was a National Qualifier. This is his fifth year as an assistant wrestling coach at Gardner- Edgerton High School and fourth year coaching at Pioneer Ridge Middle school. Trent is an elementary school physical education teacher at Edgerton Elementary beginning his fifth year of teaching. He resides in Gardner with his wife Dominique and their new daughter Haisley.

Tyler Cassity is 7th grade science teacher at Trail Ridge Middle School, where he also coaches football and wrestling. He graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in secondary education. This will be Tyler’s second year being an assistant wrestling coach at Gardner-Edgerton High School. Previously he has coached wrestling at Maize High School for three years and Olathe North High School for one year.
