About Me

Hi, I am Alec Hitchens, and I am a senior at Spring Hill High school. This will be my second year in volunteer club.

My family consists of my mom Nichole, my dad Steve, and my older sister Haylee. We have a seven-year-old miniature dachshund named Ava and a nine-year-old cat named Mya.

I was born in Atchison, Kansas, and moved to Spring Hill when I was four. I am so thankful to have begun and to be able to finish my education as a Bronco!

Future Plans

My future educational goals include attending Johnson County Community College for two years and then finishing at Kansas State University. I plan on getting my Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Activities

I am involved in many activities and clubs within our school as well as outside of school. Currently, I am the President of SADD and Hype Squad and the Secretary of STUCCO. I am a manager for football, boys, basketball, and girls soccer. Previously I have been involved with theatre and band, and I was a cross country manager my freshman year. Outside of school, I am involved in Boyscouts and volunteer many organizations.

Why Volunteer Club?

I chose to be involved in volunteer club my junior and senior year because it allows me the opportunity to give back to my community, meet different people, and learn new skills. The experiences that I have gained throughout volunteering has given me a sense of purpose and confidence. The veteran community project was by far my favorite memory last year, and I am looking forward to visiting our local elementary schools and working with students that struggle in math and reading.
