The EES Winter Concert is at 7:00 pm tomorrow, December 17th, at the HS auditorium.

COATS
We will try to go out for recess as much as possible. It is cold in the mornings when we go out so students need to bring a coat every day. They are welcome to bring hats, gloves, and scarfs to help keep them warm also.

Our theme this week is pumpkins. We will be going to the Tucker Pumpkin Patch on Wednesday. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately.
BOOK-IT!
We are starting the Book-It program this month. In order for students to receive their Book-It they will need to read from their reading bags nightly. There is a calendar in their reading bags that you need to sign and send back to school in their reading bag every day.

THEME
This week our theme is conservation. We will be working on posters for the Morton County Conservation contest this week. The conservation theme this year is “Life in the Soil: Dig Deeper!”. Today we talked about different things that live in the soil and things found in the soil that help other things grow. Tomorrow we will start working on our poster rough drafts in class, if students want to work on a plan at home they are welcome to do that and bring it with them to class.

Tomorrow, September 10th, is picture day. There are extra picture packets in the office if you need one.
CLEAN UP DAY
We will be participating in the district wide clean-up day on Wednesday, September 11th. Our job will be to help clean up one of the parks in town. Please make sure your child dresses accordingly.
ALL SCHOOL PEP RALLY
Friday, September 13th, we will be attending the All School Pep Rally. Students are encouraged to wear orange and black.

This week our theme is “I am special”.
We are continuing to work on getting back into the routine of being at school. Please encourage your child to work on keeping their hands to themselves and not talking over other people.
There are still a couple of open party spots available if you didn’t get the chance to sign up. If they don’t get filled I’ll take volunteers who would like to sign up twice.
We’ve had a great couple of days.
