UMS SPLASH

If you attended the UMS SPLASH Program this year: Please complete the following survey.

Hello UMS SPLASH students and parents,

We hope you and your families are safe and healthy! Like you, we were planning for and looking forward to breaking out of the winter doldrums and having some fun in Session 4 of SPLASH. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 virus had other plans! Each time a new deadline seemed on the horizon we were making alternate plans to see what we could organize for our SPLASH students. However, with the last announcement of school closure for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, all the alternate plans for being together in person were gone!

We were disappointed, but not defeated! All the SPLASH staff miss seeing and talking to the students who stay with us after-school, so we wanted to find a way to connect with you. We have put together an “I miss...” video for you to see some familiar faces. We also have a few demonstration videos from staff members for you. We will be adding more as time goes on so keep checking!

You can also connect with us by sending a message, video or demonstration of your own to kcearlock@usd116.org. With parent permission I will post them on our link.

Thank you for being a part of SPLASH this year! We will adjust and continue to support each other as we live through this time in our lives. If you have concerns or questions, please email me at kcearlock@usd116.org.

Broadway on vine - Update

It is with the heaviest heart that we have to say Annie, Jr. will not be able to continue for the 2019-2020 school year. We were hoping that we may be able to work something out for the end of the school year or maybe even over summer; however, it did not work out in our favor.

We had such an amazing cast and we are positive it would have been an excellent show this year. We are especially devastated for our 8th graders who we won't get to see perform their last year of Broadway on Vine. You have all come such a long way, and we hope to see you continue your theatrical career at UHS. We truly loved the time we got to spend working with each and every one of you at UMS Broadway on Vine and watching you grow and improve each and every year. Please keep in touch and remember us middle school directors!

At this point, we will look forward and focus on being able to put on a wonderful production next year and continue the Broadway on Vine program at UMS. Parents, if you paid for a t-shirt, I will be contacting you soon about getting a refund issued. We hope you are all doing well and staying safe through this time apart <3

The sun WILL come out, so just keep thinking about tomorrow everyone!

Much love,

Ms. Stenzel and Mrs. Ekwejunor
