There are so many ways to tell our stories! Each day we’ll have fun using words, pictures, and music to create stories, cartoons, poems, and art. Imagination is our greatest tool!

M.U.S.I.C. (Music Using STEM Is Cool)

What makes your movie, podcast, or slide show even better? Your own music! Get ideas and music coaching to produce your own background music. Find out how to use your own instrument or voice to create music for your own movie, podcast, or slide show. Then get help as you compose and record your own song. You’ll be able to write and record tracks that you can use for your upcoming tech creations and save to your personal playlist.

Supplies You Might Want to Bring from Home: Household objects like: pots, pans, boxes, rubber bands, and anything you can think of that makes musical notes.

Sports Science

Have you ever wondered why a frisbee flies the way it does? Do you ever wonder about the trajectory of the basketball that makes you hit the goal? Do you like sports? Would you like to enjoy a little more? Join us for this week full of fun activities designed to show you how science and sports meet.

Supplies we'll be using: tennis balls, frisbees, basketballs or kickballs, sidewalk chalk

Stop Motion Animation Fun

If you are super creative, LOVE movies, technology and using your hands to create, THIS is the class for you! Ever wonder how The Lego Movie was made? THIS is how! You will use your iPad and other supplies to create super cool animations on your own.

Supplies We'll Be Using : Play Doh, modeling clay, construction paper, colored pencils, crayons, markers, notecards, sticky notes, dry erase boards and markers

Supplies You May Want to Bring from Home: Posable figurines like Legos, Barbie, etc.

Planet Podcast

Do you care about the Earth, climate change, plastic in the oceans, and animals going extinct? Let’s gather some data about the environmental topics about which you are interested. Together we will consider the ways in which we each can make a positive impact or try to provide solutions. Finally, we will share our voices and ideas through a podcast. The skills you learn will allow you to continue creating podcasts on any topic you choose in the future.
