Ms. Langer's Classroom

A little about Ms. Langer:

Hello! And welcome to my classroom website. Here you will find almost anything you need to know about the current classes I am teaching. Included on the pages is the classroom syllabus, daily lesson plans, helpful links, and other information about the class or area. In addition to this website, there is a website for our Rock Hills FFA Chapter! Please check out our website and our facebook page to find up to date information about the happenings of our chapter!

Next, I would like to give you just a little bit of background about me. I am a native of Superior, Nebraska and am currently residing there as well. My parents and grandparents are all from the area and currently still live there as well. My mom owns a hair salon in Superior and my dad farmed in Jewell County up until his passing a few years ago. I grew up helping on the family farm where we had a dairy until I was 10 or 11 years old. We milked about 60 head of Holstein-Jersey cross cattle as well as row-crop farming. After selling out the dairy, we ran a small crossbreed cow-calf operation for many years.

I graduated from Superior High School where I was active in many activities, one of those being FFA. I attended numerous district events as well as State and National Convention. My SAE included helping on the farm and working at Superior Pharmacy. I received my Nebraska State FFA Degree my senior year, which made me the third generation to recieve a state degree while attending SHS (my dad and grandpa received their "State Farmer"). Additionally, I was a member of the Webber Wide Awake 4-H Club for 9 years. I held many offices during that time and was also involved with the Jewell County Saddle Club.

After high school, I attended Cloud County Community College in Concordia and received my Associate of Science Degree. While at CCCC, I was captain of the Thunderbolts dance team, a member of the Horse and Livestock judging teams, equestrian team, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and the secretary of the collegiate FFA. Upon graduation, I transferred to Kansas State University (Go Cats!) to acquire my bachelor's in agricultural education with a minor in Animal Science. While at KSU, I took courses in all areas of agriculture and secondary education. I student taught at Thunder Ridge High School in the spring of my senior year. I loved my time in the classroom and I am so excited to get back into teaching and being a part of this community.
